International Forest Products Limited

British Columbia, Canada

The United Steelworkers will begin bargaining with the International Forest Products Limited sometime this summer. International Forest Products Limited (Interfor) is one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest producers of quality wood products. The company has manufacturing operations in British Columbia with two sawmills (Acorn and Hammond) on the Coast; two sawmills in the Kootenay region (Grand Forks and Castlegar); and sawmill in the Southern Interior region near Kamloops (Adams Lake). International Forest Products Hammond Cedar Mill is one of the largest Western Red Cedar producers in the world and each year the mill produces 125 million board feet of cedar products used for exterior siding, paneling, decking and a variety of uses in overseas markets. Interfor also holds timber harvesting rights in BC.
